Two golfers celebrating

The Marshalltown High School Activities Department is proud to announce another successful year for the annual Bobcat Golf Outing Fundraiser. Held on Thursday, June 18, the event raised an estimated $30,000 to support Bobcat activities programs and student-athletes.

"We are incredibly grateful for the support of our community, sponsors, volunteers, and golfers who continue to invest in our students," said Marshalltown High School Activities Director Ryan Isgrig. "The Bobcat Golf Outing is about more than raising funds. It is an opportunity to bring people together in support of the experiences, opportunities, and memories that make high school activities so meaningful for our students. The continued support of our community helps ensure that Bobcat students have access to outstanding opportunities both on and off the field."

More than 270 golfers participated in this year's outing at the American Legion Golf Course, creating another outstanding day of competition, camaraderie, and community support.

In the morning flight, Team Tyler Peschong State Farm Insurance (Jason Ohlfest, John Kersbergen, Cole Danielson, John Danielson) earned top honors with a score of -17. The afternoon flight was won by Jeff Miller - Class of 1981 Group (Jeff Miller, Drew Miller, Mark Finch, Travis Stewart) with a score of -20.

Individual contest winners included:

  • Longest Drive (Hole #4): Austin Ruddick

  • Closest to the Pin (Hole #7): Gary Walljasper

The Marshalltown Community School District extends its sincere appreciation to all participants, sponsors, and volunteers who helped make this event a success. Their generosity plays a vital role in enhancing opportunities for Bobcat students and supporting the continued success of Marshalltown High School activities programs.
